You will operate a proven business plan and benefit from our support at every stage as your business develops.
The package includes:
- The sole right to trade under the copyrighted and patented Tin Pan Annie name, brand and logo for a renewable 5 year licence
- An initial and ongoing training program covering all aspects of running the classes, parties, school sessions and the business
- Comprehensive operations manual including marketing, operations, accounts, admin and how to maximise your opportunities
- A complete franchise kit including costumes, props, instruments, books, puppets, equipment, stationary and everything required to run the business
- Our original copyrighted curriculum, which is tried and tested, written by classically trained, qualified, experienced teachers
- Ongoing support from head office including day-to-day advice
As with our own class leaders, our franchisees are carefully selected to ensure that they have the necessary talent, qualities, energy and drive to successfully run a business aimed at educating and entertaining young chidlren. Ideally you will need:
- bags of energy, confidence and be a well-spoken communicator who is able to relate to little children and their, often-demanding, guardians!
- to be a good multi-tasker
- motivation, drive and commitment
- if you are planning to run classes yourself you will need to be bubbly and enthusiastic, have a good strong singing voice, the ability to read music and be a proficient guitar player (unless you plan to employ a backing guitarist to accompany you). You need to be able to perform well in front of an audience (up to 15 toddlers and their parents and carers are as a demanding audience as a full auditorium!)
- a driving licence as there will be lots of scouting around for venues, transporting equipment, leaflet and poster distribution, etc.
Possible franchisees come from a wide variety of backgrounds and do not necessarily have to have any formal training as full and comprehensive training is provided. You may want to run the franchise by managing teachers to run the classes for you, but obviously it is an advantage (and more lucrative) if you can run classes yourself as well as managing the business (as Annie initially did).
The initial investment can vary depending on a number of factors but is extremely competitive - normally between £5,000 and £10,000. There are low running costs and potential for high return on your investment. Most banks are happy to provide loans to Tin Pan Annie franchisees if necessary.
The primary source of income for your business is weekly class fees, with additional sources coming from children's parties, nurseries, holiday sessions and from the sale of Tin Pan Annie merchandise such as our ragdolls, C.D.s and instruments and is being added to all the time!
