| | During the classes, the little ones not only have the best possible introduction to live music but they also develop invaluable social "life skills" such as joining-in, sharing, listening and performing in a happy, relaxed atmosphere. Their confidence grows and grows!
As they arrive at 'Tin Pan Annie', the children race eagerly to see what picture is on their personal name sticker that week. They try and match them to our bright original posters and guess the theme of the week. After lots of jolly 'Hellos' and waves, we begin the class with our famous "Tick Tock" and simple warm up songs.
Here is Lottie proudly demonstrating our secret "Tick Tock" code! | We gently introduce the guitar and its various sounds before launching in with some lively, familiar songs, guaranteed to get everyone bouncing and clapping. |
| | We have a vast library of songs, many of which are unique to Tin Pan Annie, written by Annie but inspired by the children. Of course we also sing plently of well known familiar songs and traditional nursery rhymes. Many of our songs can be found on our professionally produced C.Ds for you to take home and play. | |
| | | We encourage lots of singing and actions (from the parents ard carers too!) | | | Every week the centre-piece of the class is structured around familiar nursery and pre-school themes (eg. colours, farm, garden, etc.) linked to the songs with each child's personalised stickers, big bright posters and a story. The children gather round the teacher for prop box and story time. Our loveable Tin Pan Annie ragdoll pops out of her box to introduce lots of colourful, stimulating props, puppets and surprises associated with the theme.
You will be amazed at how absorbed your child is and how much they look forward to seeing Tin Pan Annie come out of her box! | | After their short spell of concentration during storytime, they are ready for some more action! We uncover our treasure chest of colourful, quality, percussion instruments and the children choose their favourite to join in Tin Pan Annie's band. | Finally, we dance among
hundreds of bubbles and chill down
with our bye bye song. |
| All this in half an hour, the highlight of every child's week! | |
